What's the best way to get space for my jewelry in a gallery? I thought of sending a letter to the gallery owner with some photos of my work ... is that a good way to start?

An introductory letter is a great start, although you may consider visiting the gallery and talking with the owner directly. Tell the owner what you enjoy about the gallery and wear some of your work so you can refer to it easily. Your direct, personal connection along with your actual jewelry will likely have better and more immediate results than sending a letter and photos.
