Cupchain is a series of crystals set in individual metal cups that are linked together. These links can be single or up to multiple yards of cups wound on a spool, and are usually sold in the same manner as bulk chain. They can be used in making jewelry and embellishing clothing or craft projects. Because most cupchain isn't connected with chain links, it is more commonly used on projects where they can be glued, wired or sewn on.

Cupchain mesh is more like several lengths of the cupchain laid side-by-side, and then connected that way to make more of a ribbon look. These are often used to embellish clothing, purses and other accessories to provide a greater area of sparkle.
