I live in Denver, CO and I have a problem with elastic cording breaking. My guess is it due to the lack of humidity. What would be the best elastic cording to use that will last?

Elastic does have a shelf life and is notorious for breaking after some years. Environmental factors such as heat and arid climates can hasten the aging process of elastic. Ultimately any stretchy cord currently on the market will eventually break. The best cord that we have found for strength is Powercord®. Be sure to tie it off with a surgeon's knot. Use a bit of strong but flexible glue like E6000® Plus on knots to keep that most delicate point of a stretchy stringing material firmly intact.
