Knitting with the French Knitter Tool


Instructions


Set Up: Using the cord of your choice still on the spool, thread beads onto the cord. While holding the beads back, pass the straight end of cord down through the top of the tool leaving a 6-inch tail out the bottom. Set tool down on a flat work surface, holding the tail secure to keep tension on the cord.


Tip: Leaving cord attached to spool allows you the length needed without having to knot sections together.

Make a counter-clockwise wrap around the first peg.

Bring cord over the front of the second peg and make a counter-clockwise wrap.

Bring cord over the front of the third peg and make a counter-clockwise wrap.

Bring cord over the front of the fourth peg and make a counter-clockwise wrap.

Bring cord over the front of the first peg, make a counter-clockwise wrap then move one bead onto the cord between pegs.

Repeat Step 5 until you have added beads and wrapped all four pegs.

Use hook to pull bottom wrap on first peg up and over the peg.

Pull bottom thread tail to adjust tension.

Repeat Steps 7 and 8 on the remaining three pegs.

Repeat Steps 1 through 10 until desired length of beaded knit is reached.
