Secret to a Surgeon's Knot

The surgeon's knot is a great knot to use when finishing the ends of any cord or thread. It keeps the ends from sliding past each other over time and with wear.
Step 1
Once your design is complete, bring the left side of your stringing material over and around the right side twice. Pull the ends of the stringing material to tighten the ends just a little.
Step 2
Bring the right side of the stringing material over and around the left side one time. Pull the stringing material tight so the knot is secure.
Tip: Apply a small amount of E6000® Jewelry and Craft Adhesive to the knot on stretch material for added security.
