Anna Marie Green

Meet the Designer-Artist

Where do you live?

I live in Sewell, New Jersey

Describe your artistic style.

My artistic style leans more to bold classy pieces.

What inspires you as a designer-artist?

I am inspired by the beauty of vibrant colors and seeing how a bunch of beads can be transformed into a beautiful piece of jewelry.

What materials do you most enjoy working with?

Sterling silver, rhinestones, crystals and gemstones.

What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story?

Black Glitter and Glamour

What inspired this design?

The beautiful beads.

How did it come together?

The necklace defined itself as I was putting it together; it made itself.

When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?

I started making my own jewelry because I could never find the right piece that I needed in the store to match my outfits, and my ears are not pierced and it is almost impossible to find really nice earrings in clip-ons. This way I can have any size hoop or dangle that I want because I make them myself.

Who introduced you to beading?

I just decided one day to make my own jewelry; I crochet and sew so why not make jewelry.

How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®?

From a fellow beader.

What other hobbies do you have?

Playing the piano and singing.

Do you belong to any beading societies or beading groups?

I am on Etsy.com and belong to a group on that site.

What role does jewelry-making play in your life?

I recently retired and intend on making this a full-time career.

If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?

I have recently attended some craft shows and have a shop on Etsy.com

Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?

Practice makes perfect.
