Topics: Choosing Full-Hard, Half-Hard or Dead Soft Wire

Q.
I want to make a bracelet and it calls for 16-, 22-, and 24-gauge wire. I am curious as to what kind to get (full-hard, half-hard, or dead soft). The directions call for wrapping the 16-gauge wire around a jar then letting it spring open. The finer wire is then used to wrap inside to form swirls.

I would suggest half-hard wire since it will have the flexibility to wrap easily around the jar, yet the hardness to hold the shapes you're trying to create.
