Topics: Using Jade Chips

Q.
I've ordered jade chips. What is the best design of a necklace to use them in?
- Valerie
A.
You can string a single strand or a multi-strand design--there are no limits! Using .014 Accu-Flex® beading wire is recommended for most gemstone chips.

Accu-Flex beading wire is a very strong, multi-strand stainless-steel wire with a nylon coating that will hold up to any rough bead-hole edges. It is available in many diameter sizes, making it well suited for any design. 0.014 is a great size for gemstone chips and 0.012 is ideal for mini-chips. When using Accu-Flex beading wire it is recommended to connect the ends onto a clasp using crimp beads, crimp tubes or Screw-Tite Crimps™. Depending on the design you choose, be sure to look through all the clasp options to see which one is better suited to the amount of strands in your necklace.
