I've come across the terms "lentil beads" and "melon beads." What are they? How do you describe them?
- Orapa
Lentil beads are more of a stringing hole type than a bead shape. The holes are drilled so the beads overlap when strung.
Melon-shaped beads are also known as fluted/corrugated round or oval beads and are similar to the shape of a pumpkin or cantaloupe.
Both of these food-based bead types make exceptionally tasty-looking designs, so indulge yourself. (No calories—we promise!)
Other bead shapes can be found on the "Shape Chart - Gemstone, Coral and Pearl Beads."
