Topics: Gluing Jumprings

Q.
I need to use jumprings that open but need to be closed permanently. I need jumprings that are economical (I like the gold-plated and silver-plated ones)--the solder-filled ones are not usable in my craft item. Is there a glue that will do this? Or do you have a better suggestion?

A.
Loctite® 454 Gel adhesive is a great solution. This glue has special gap-filling and non-running qualities that are key when dealing with multiple, detailed gluing challenges like this one. The Loctite 454 Gel adhesive features fine tip applicators that help get the glue exactly where you need it.

Another option would be to use split rings, similar to a key ring, which have the security of no gaps in the ring that wire can slip through. They're available in gold-plated, silver-plated, nickel-plated and stainless steel options.
