Topics: Gluing Bails to Swarovski crystal Top-Drilled Beads

Q.
I purchased ice pick bails made for specifically Swarovski crystal top-drilled beads. How do I attach them so they are secure? Do I glue them? And where do I glue, at the prongs and hole or the front/back of the bead and bail?

A.
To instantly secure an ice-pick or prong bail to a Swarovski top-drilled component, add a small amount of Loctite® 454 Gel adhesive to the prongs before you fold them into the bead hole. If you want a little more time to work with the materials, use a dab of E6000® Jewelry and Craft Adhesive. Either option will ensure a tight bond so that the crystal component won't wiggle free of the bail.
