Topics: Knotting Pearls, The Bead Knotter™

Q.
I bought The Bead Knotter™ and have been practicing for days. Just when I think I have it down, I get a knot too far from the pearl. When I pull the tool away to form the knot, it invariably gets hung up on the instrument and I can't pull it any closer to the pearl. I have watched the video and believe I'm doing it the same way. Please help! Thank you.

The Bead Knotter is a great tool to use for knotting pearls. Here are a few helpful tips:
  1. It's best to keep the knot on the tool's pin right up until you reach the point where you want to place the bead
  2. If the bead or knot slip, the knot will end up in the wrong place
  3. Keep continuous tension on the thread, and make sure to keep the thread in the tool's "Y" and on the pin until you get it in place
