I have a ring that the stone fell out of. How do I know what size stone to order to replace it? It's a round setting.
Before you order a new faceted gemstone, check the integrity of the prongs on your current ring mount. You don't want to lose another stone because the prongs are weak or broken.
If the mount is still intact, you can figure out the diameter of the stone you require by using a slide gauge or a caliper to measure the width from the inside of one prong to the inside of the prong that sits diagonally from it.
