Q.
What's the best way to finish off the end of silk thread when making a necklace?
- Andrea
A.
Bead tips or Hot Tips® are often used to secure the ends of silk thread as they work well in hiding the knot as well as providing a secure attachment to a clasp. A second option is to use French wire, or bullion, which protects the silk thread from abrasion. French wire has a small diameter and works well with finer cord or thread.
