What is the difference between seed beads and cut beads?
- Mary
Seed beads are round and come in a cylinder shape and a donut shape called Rocailles. Cuts refer to a flat surface actually cut into a seed bead. A Charlotte cut, or one-cut, gives the seed bead a facet. The facet is a flat surface creating a larger area to reflect light making the bead sparkle and shimmer. The hex 2-cut seed bead has 6 flat sides giving your projects six times the sparkle.
