Q.
I'm bead embroidering a small picture (7''x10'') but don't know how to finish it--whether for a frame, for clothing, or free hanging (as in tapestry). Can you help me? Thanks so much,
- Linda.
A.
Creating a finished edge on the picture using a whip stitch with or without beads is always a good idea to keep the edges of the fabric from fraying. This can then be sewn onto clothing or another piece of fabric to place in a regular frame.

Three small fabric or beaded loops can also be sewn onto the top edge of the picture. Then a small dowel can be run through the loops to allow for hanging.

There are frames made specifically for embroidery that will stretch the fabric permanently; these can be purchased at local craft stores.
