A second option is to pass the end of the ribbon through a jumpring or loop of a clasp then either apply fabric glue to secure it in place, sew the ribbon closed using thread and needle or wrap it closed with a piece of wire.
A third option is to knot a length of ribbon to a jumpring then add beading wire to the jumpring.
