Q.
I love working with rubber cord and would like to know how to make a "noose knot" at the end. I think that it would look really great. Can you help? Thank you

A simple noose knot is an adjustable or slip knot. View the video instructions of this type of knot, as well as others, in the tutorial on making knots.

A hangman or collar noose knot is an adjustable knot that is often used to secure fishing lures. This knot tightens easily, but may be resistant to loosening.

Step 1: Form a U-shaped loop on the working end of the strand. This loop will be the noose portion of the knot.

Step 2: Form a second U-shaped loop, bringing the working end of the strand back in the opposite direction to create an S-shape, having the first loop longer than the second.

Step 3: Wind the working end of the strand around the three central strands starting at the bottom and working up to the top of the second U-shaped loop.

Step 4: Tuck the end of the strand through the top U-shaped loop, and pull the noose to tighten the knot.
