Q.
I am making a 5 strand pearl necklace and would like to know if there is a certain length that I should make each strand. Thank you,
- Nancy
A.
Necklace length is a very personal preference. If all of the strands are going to be the same length and a choker style is desired, 16 - 18 inches is a good length. The strands can then be twisted or lay individually. Multi-length strands can start anywhere from 16 - 18 inches in length and then increase by 1 - 2 inches for each consecutive strand. Using a multi-strand bead board can help with this type of design idea.
