Q.
I need help on how to use a bead to make an earring. It is a subtle S shaped turquoise slider similar to the s shaped bead of Fire Mountain (H20-9457MB). The bead is 1/4" wide, 1" long and 1/4" deep. It has 2 holes about 1/4" in from each end and I've used them to make a 2 strand bracelet. Now I want to make earrings and I'm stuck. If you look at FM item H20-1637FY, how would you make earrings out of them if the holes are too far down to put a jump ring through? Any thoughts?

Consider treating this particular bone spacer "bead" or bar as a briolette and make a wire bail. Attach a jumpring to the bail and dangle from an earwire.
