Topics: Metal, Non-Magnetic

Q.
My best friend just got the job of her dreams working with an MRI center, but now she cannot wear any jewelry that will retain a magnetic charge. What metals can I use?

A.
In doing extensive research on this subject, including reading many medical papers and reports, I found NO type of metal approved to be worn around MRI machines. So, congratulations, you now get to be super creative in making your BFF new jewelry without using metals! You can make jewelry using Elastic Powercord®, elastic cord, crochet, seed bead stitched or kumihimo jewelry.

In the resources below there are links to some fun design ideas from our Gallery of Designs to inspire you. Some of them use metal claps so substitute non-metal clasps and toggles such as shell or gemstone.
