I want to create a thin metal setting to go around a variety of different stones and crystals ... to make them shape specific in a gold plate or copper color. Do I need to use bronze/copper clay for that or buy a thin sheet of metal and cut it to the stone? If I go with the second idea, will I need a kiln to fire it or can it be glued to seal? Thank you!

I'm trying to make a necklace with a lamp worked frog bead (H20-2474FB) that is top-heavy. I would like the bead to hang horizontally on the string with the frog on top, but because the frog is heavier he always hangs underneath. I have tried using smaller beads inside the large bead, using a thick cord, clamping the ends of the bead with bead caps, and using clay to stuff the bead. None of this helps, as the poor frog is still upside-down. How do I get him to stay upright?
I have several antique brooches that I would like to fashion into cuff bracelets and then fill with Swarovski crystals. Never have done this before I don't know where to start. What style of crystals to use how to apply them--do I start with a cuff mold, etc.? Can you advise me as what would produce the most professional look? The brooches are heirlooms and want to do the best by them. Thank you in advance.
