Triple-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Acrylic Beads and Brass Chain

Olive green acrylic beads with crackled gold surface details are a throwback to disco diva style. Paired with brass chain for a slinky accessory with great drape.

Necklace

STEP 1
Using the round cutters, cut pieces of cable in the following quantities and lengths:
  • One - 3 inches long
  • Five - 2-1/2 inches long
  • Five - 2 inches long
  • Five - 1-1/2 inches long
  • Five - 1-inch long
  • Five - 1/2 inch long
STEP 2
Place onto eyepin one 4mm peridot diamond, one 38x30mm green acrylic oval, and one 4mm peridot diamond. Form a simple loop above the last bead to create a green oval double-loop beading link. Repeat to create a total of five.

Repeat to create three green nugget double-loop beading links by stringing onto an eyepin: one 4mm peridot diamond, one 28x24mm green acrylic nugget, and one 4mm peridot diamond.

Repeat to create four 18mm green with peridot diamonds double-loop beading links by stringing onto an eyepin: one 4mm peridot diamond, one 18mm green acrylic round, and one 4mm peridot diamond.

Repeat to create five 18mm green with gold beads double-loop beading links by stringing onto an eyepin: one 3mm round gold-plated bead, one 18mm green acrylic round, and one 3mm round gold-plated bead on an eyepin.

Repeat to create four 10mm green round double-loop beading links by stringing onto an eyepin: one 10mm green acrylic round.

Repeat to create five gold bead double-loop beading links by stringing onto an eyepin: one 3mm round gold-plated bead, one 8mm round gold-plated bead, and one 3mm round gold-plated bead on an eyepin.
STEP 3
Place a 4mm peridot diamond onto a headpin. Make a simple loop on the top using round-nose pliers to create a bead drop. Repeat to make a total of seven.

Repeat to create four 3mm gold-plated bead drops.

Strand 1 (finished length approximately 18 inches)

STEP 4
Using two pairs of chain-nose pliers, open a jumpring and pass it through the loop on the toggle-half of the clasp and the first loop on a 2-1/2 inch length of chain. Close the jumpring.

Open one loop on one 18mm green with peridot diamond beading link and pass the open loop through the last link on the chain attached to the toggle. Close the loop.

By opening and closing the loops, connect the following elements together:
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One green nugget link
  • One 1-inch length of chain
  • One green oval link
  • One 1-inch length of chain
  • One gold bead link
  • One 1/2-inch length of chain
  • One 18mm green with peridot diamonds link
  • One 1-1/2 inch length of chain
  • One 10mm green link
  • One gold bead link
  • One 10mm green link
  • One 2-inch length of chain
Open a jumpring and pass it through the last link in the last length of chain and through the loop on the ring-half of the clasp. Close the jumpring.

Strand 2 (finished length approximately 24 inches)

STEP 5
Open a jumpring and pass it through the last link in a 2-1/2 inch length of chain and the toggle-half of the clasp. Close the jumpring.

Open one loop on one gold bead link and pass the open loop through the last link on the chain attached to the toggle. Close the loop.

By opening and closing the loops, connect the following elements together:
  • One 1-1/2 inch length of chain
  • One 18mm green with gold beads link
  • One 2-inch length of chain
  • One green oval link
  • One 1/2 inch length of chain
  • One gold bead link
  • One 10mm green link
  • One 1-inch length of chain
  • One 18mm green with peridot diamonds link
  • One 1/2 inch length of chain
  • One 18mm green with peridot diamonds link
  • One 1/2 inch length of chain
  • One green nugget link
  • One 1-inch length of chain
  • One gold bead link
  • One 1-inch length of chain
  • One 18mm green with gold bead link
  • One 2-1/2 inch length of chain.
Open a jumpring and pass it through the last link in the last length of chain and through the loop on the ring-half of the clasp. Close the jumpring.

Strand 3 (finished length approximately 28 inches)

STEP 6
Open a jumpring and pass it through the last link in a 3-inch length of chain and the loop on the toggle-half of the clasp--on the ''outside'' of the other two jumprings.

Open one loop on one green nugget link and pass the open loop through the last link on the chain attached to the toggle. Close the loop.

By opening and closing the loops, connect the following elements together: one 1-1/2 inch length of chain, one green oval link, one 2-inch length of chain, one 18mm green with gold bead link, one 1/2 inch length of chain, one 10mm green link, one 2-1/2 inch length of chain, one green oval link, one 2-inch length of chain, one 18mm green with gold beads link, one 1-1/2 inch length of chain, one green oval link, one 1-1/2 inch length of chain, one 18mm green with gold bead link and one 2-1/2 inch length of chain.

Open a jumpring and pass it through the last link in the last length of chain and through the loop on the ring-half of the clasp making sure the strands are attached in the proper order. Close the jumpring.
STEP 7
Open the loop on one 4mm peridot drop and pass the loop through one link in the 1/2 inch length of chain between the 18mm green with gold bead link and the 10mm green link in Strand #3. Close the loop. Repeat to attach one 3mm gold drop on the same length of chain.

Repeat to attach three 4mm peridot drops and three 3mm gold drops to the 2-1/2 inch length of chain between the 10mm green link and the green oval link.

Repeat to attach three 4mm peridot drops to the 1-1/2 inch length of chain between the green oval link and the 18mm green with gold bead link.

Earrings

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters, cut two 1-inch lengths of cable chain.
STEP 2
String onto a headpin: one 4mm peridot diamond, one 38x30mm green acrylic round, and one 4mm peridot diamond. Finish the end with a simple loop using round-nose pliers. Repeat to create two 18mm green round bead drops.
STEP 3
String a 3mm gold-plated bead onto an eyepin. Finish the end with a simple loop to create a gold bead double-loop beading link. Repeat to create two.
STEP 4
Using chain-nose pliers, open one loop of one gold beading link. Pass the open loop through the loop on one fishhook earwire. Close the loop.

Connect the other loop to the last link on one 1-inch length of chain. Close the loop.

Open the loop on one green bead drop and attach it to the other end of the chain.

Repeat Steps 1 - 4 to make the second earring.
