Double-Strand Necklace with Swarovski Crystal Drops and 14Kt Gold-Filled Beads

STEP 1
Using two pairs of chain-nose pliers, open a jumpring. Pass the open ring through the loop of an amethyst twist crystal. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach a jumpring to all 48 crystal twist drops.

First Strand

STEP 2
Using side-cutting pliers, cut a 24-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire. String on one crimp tube, open-end first (the end opposite the end with a loop), and bring the crimp tube down the wire until the end just shows at the other end of the crimp-tube on the loop end. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the chain-nose or flat-nose pliers, compress the center section of the crimp tube. Using side-cutting pliers, trim any excess wire from the short end.
STEP 3
String onto the beading wire two 4mm corrugated gold beads.
STEP 4
Continue stringing: one 17x8mm corrugated double cone gold bead and one 5mm corrugated rondelle gold bead. Repeat five times for a total of six sets. String on one more 17x8mm corrugated double cone gold bead.
STEP 5
String onto the wire, one of each of the following:
  • Silver shade twist crystal
  • 6mm corrugated gold bead
  • Amethyst twist crystal
  • 6mm corrugated gold bead
  • Golden shadow twist crystal
  • 6mm corrugated gold bead
  • Crystal copper twist crystal
  • 17x8mm corrugated double cone gold bead
Repeat four times for a total of five sets.
STEP 6
String onto the beading wire one 5mm corrugated rondelle gold bead and one 17x8mm corrugated double cone gold bead. Repeat five times for a total of six sets. String on two 4mm corrugated gold beads.
STEP 7
Place one crimp tube onto the beading wire after the 4mm gold bead. Pull the wire snugly so the crimp is up against the last bead. Make sure there is no slack along the entire length of the necklace, yet it's not so tight that the necklace is rigid. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the chain-nose or flat-nose pliers, compress the center section of the crimp tube. Using side-cutting pliers, trim excess wire from the end.
