Multi-Strand Necklace with Korean Boxwood Focals and Antiqued Copper Finish Focals and Chain

STEP 1
Place a small amount of adhesive on the back surface of an antiqued copper 34mm filigree flower. Spread the adhesive evenly on the surface. Center the copper flower on a 60mm wood focal piece and gently press down to set the flower in place. Allow 10 minutes for the glue to set. Repeat to attach an antiqued copper 34mm filigree flower to the opposite side of the 60mm wood focal piece.
STEP 2
Using a 50mm wood focal piece, repeat Step 1 to attach an antiqued copper 30x23mm filigree teardrop to the 50mm wood focal piece, placing the loop on the teardrop over the hole on the top of the wood focal piece. Center three antiqued copper 8mm bead caps along the bottom of the teardrop. Place two antiqued copper 11x4mm teardrop drops on the left side and two antiqued copper 11x4mm teardrop drops on the right side of the antiqued copper 30x23mm teardrop. Allow 10 minutes for the glue to set. Repeat on the opposite side of the 50mm wood focal piece.

Repeat to create a second 50mm wood focal piece.
STEP 3
Using a 40mm wood focal piece, repeat Step 1 to attach an antiqued copper 11mm coil bead cap in the center of the wood focal piece. Attach six antiqued copper 8.5mm rondelles around the edge of the 11mm coil bead cap. Allow 10 minutes for the glue to set. Repeat on the opposite side of the 40mm wood focal piece.

Repeat to create a second 40mm wood focal piece.
STEP 4
Using flush-cutters, cut one each of the following lengths of antiqued copper 5x3.5mm cable chain:
  • 18-inch length
  • 18-3/4 inch length
  • 19-1/2 inch length
  • 20-1/4 inch length
  • 21-inch length
  • 21-3/4 inch length
  • 22-1/2 inch length
  • 23-1/4 inch length
  • 24-inch length
  • 24-3/4 inch length
STEP 5
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 6mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the toggle portion of the clasp. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach a 6mm jumpring to the toggle ring portion of the clasp.

Open a 6mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the first link of each of the ten lengths of chain from Step 4 and the 6mm jumpring attached to the clasp. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach the last link of each of the ten lengths of chain to a 6mm jumpring on the loop on the toggle ring portion of the clasp.
STEP 6
Open a 6mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on a 40mm wood focal piece and another 6mm jumpring. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach two 6mm jumprings to each of the wood focal pieces.
STEP 7
Use a 6mm jumpring to attach the wood focal pieces to the following chains:
  • One 40mm wood focal piece 10 inches from the jumpring attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp on the 19-1/2 inch length of chain
  • One 40mm wood focal piece 8 inches from the jumpring attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp on the 20-1/4 inch length of chain
  • One 50mm wood focal piece 14-1/2 inches from the jumpring attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp on the 22-1/2 inch length of chain
  • One 50mm wood focal piece 5-1/2 inches from the jumpring attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp on the 24-3/4 inch length of chain
  • One 60mm wood focal piece 14-1/4 inches from the jumpring attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp on the 24-3/4 inch length of chain
