Single-Strand Necklace, Bracelet and Earring Set with Gold-Plated Steel Focals and Drops, Czech Glass Druk Beads and Wirework

Necklace

STEP 1
String one 6mm round turquoise blue druk bead onto an eyepin. Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link. Repeat to create twelve 6mm round turquoise blue druk beading links.
STEP 2
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • Two 40-inch lengths of 24-gauge round dead-soft jewelers bronze wire
  • One 24-inch length and one 36-inch length of 22-gauge round dead-soft jewelers bronze wire
  • One 1-inch length, one 1-1/2 inch length, one 1-3/4 inch length, one 2-inch length, one 2-3/4 inch length, one 3-inch length, one 5-3/4 inch length and one 6-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain

Focal Piece

STEP 3
Using chain-nose pliers, starting on the 55mm round gold-plated drop, gently wrap the end of the 40-inch length of 24-gauge wire around the drop. Center the 25mm round gold-plated drop inside the 55mm round drop. Continue wrapping the wire around the 25mm round drop in a figure-8 configuration. (Weave the wire, looping the wire from the outside to the inside of the 55mm round drop and then from the inside to the outside of the 25mm round drop). String onto the wire four turquoise blue seed beads, continuing to wrap the wire in a figure-8 for two wraps. Continue wrapping the wire around the 25mm and 55mm round drops in a figure-8 pattern, stringing four seed beads (alternating turquoise blue, emerald green, rainbow purple, rainbow root beer and gold) on every other figure-8. Wrap the end of the wire around the 55mm round drop after the first half of the double drop.

Repeat to attach the second 40-inch length of 24-gauge wire around the drop to finish the second half of the double drop.
STEP 4
Using chain-nose pliers, starting on the 25mm round gold-plated drop, gently wrap the end of the 24-inch length of 22-gauge wire around the drop. String onto the wire one 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead, centering it on the wire on the inside of the 25mm round drop. Continue wrapping and adding a 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead to the wire every wrap for a total of 11 beads on the inside of the 25mm round drop. Tuck the end of the wire under the last wrap to secure and finish.
STEP 5
Using chain-nose pliers, starting on the 55mm round gold-plated drop, gently wrap the end of the 36-inch length of 22-gauge wire around the drop. String onto the wire one 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead, centering it on the wire on the outside of the 55mm round drop. Continue wrapping and adding a 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead to the wire every wrap for a total of thirty-five beads on the outside of the 55mm round drop. Tuck the end of the wire under the last wrap to secure and finish.
STEP 6
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 7mm jumpring. Pass it through the 55mm round. Close the jumpring.

Necklace

STEP 7
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the toggle bar portion of the clasp and the first link on a 6-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain. Close the jumpring.
STEP 8
Continue connecting components in the following order by opening the loop on each beading link:
  • One 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link
  • One 1-3/4 inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain
  • Two 6mm turquoise blue druk beading links
  • One 3-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain
  • Three 6mm turquoise blue druk beading links
  • One 1-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain
STEP 9
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the toggle ring portion of the clasp and the first link on a 5-3/4 inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain. Close the jumpring.
STEP 10
Continue connecting components in the following order by opening the loop on each beading link:
  • One 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link
  • One 1-1/2 inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain
  • Two 6mm turquoise blue druk beading links
  • One 2-3/4 inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain
  • Three 6mm turquoise blue druk beading links
  • One 2-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain
STEP 11
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the 1-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain from Step 8, the last link on the 2-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain from Step 10 and the 7mm jumpring attached to the focal piece in Step 6. Close the jumpring.

Bracelet

STEP 1
String one 6mm round turquoise blue druk bead onto an eyepin. Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link. Repeat to create ten 6mm round turquoise blue druk beading links.
STEP 2
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • One 40-inch length, one 16-inch length and one 24-inch length of 24-gauge round dead-soft jewelers bronze wire
  • Eight 3-link lengths of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain

Focal Piece

STEP 3
Using chain-nose pliers, starting on the 30mm round gold-plated drop, gently wrap the end of the 40-inch length of 24-gauge wire around the drop. Center the 25mm round gold-plated drop inside the 30mm round drop. Continue wrapping the wire around the 25mm round drop in a figure-8 configuration. (Weave the wire, looping it from the outside to the inside of the 30mm round drop and then from the inside to the outside of the 25mm round drop). String onto the wire one turquoise blue seed bead and continue to wrap the wire in a figure-8 for two wraps. Continue wrapping the wire around the 25mm and 30mm round drops in a figure-8 pattern, stringing one seed bead (alternating turquoise blue, emerald green, rainbow purple, rainbow root beer and gold) on one wrap of each figure-8. Wrap the end of the wire around the 30mm round drop.
STEP 4
Using chain-nose pliers, starting on the 25mm round gold-plated drop, gently wrap the end of the 16-inch length of 24-gauge wire around the drop. String onto the wire one 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead, centering it on the wire on the inside of the 25mm round drop. Continue wrapping and adding a 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead to the wire every wrap for a total of twelve beads on the inside of the 25mm round drop. Tuck the end of the wire under the last wrap to secure and finish.
STEP 5
Using chain-nose pliers, starting on the 30mm round gold-plated drop, gently wrap the end of the 24-inch length of 24-gauge wire around the drop. String onto the wire one 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead, centering it on the wire on the outside of the 30mm round drop. Continue wrapping and adding a 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead to the wire every wrap for a total of twenty beads on the outside of the 30mm round drop. Tuck the end of the wire under the last wrap to secure and finish.

Bracelet

STEP 6
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the toggle portion of the clasp and the loop on a 6mm round turquoise blue druk beading link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 7
Continue connecting two more 6mm turquoise blue druk beading links using a 4mm jumpring in between each beading link.
STEP 8
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the opposite loop on the 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link and the first link on two 3-link lengths of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain. Close the jumpring.
STEP 9
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the first 3-link length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain and the loop on a 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link. Close the jumpring. Open another 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the opposite loop on a 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link and the first link on a 3-link length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach one 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link and one 3-link length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain and the loop on the 6mm turquoise blue druk beading link to the last link on the second 3-link length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain from Step 8.
STEP 10
Open a 7mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the first 3-link length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain from Step 9 and the 30mm round drop between two 4mm round turquoise blue druk beads. Close the jumpring.

Open a 7mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the second 3-link length of 4.8x3.3mm gold-plated cable chain from Step 9 and the 30mm round drop between two 4mm round turquoise blue druk beads three beads from the first 7mm jumpring. Close the jumpring.
STEP 11
Repeat Steps 6 - 10 to create the second half of the bracelet starting with the toggle ring portion of the clasp and ending with the opposite three 4mm round turquoise blue druk beads on the 30mm round drop.

Earrings

STEP 1
String one 6mm round turquoise blue druk bead onto an eyepin. Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a 6mm round turquoise blue druk beading link. Repeat to create two 6mm round turquoise blue druk beading links.
STEP 2
Using flush-cutters, cut two 40-inch lengths of 24-gauge round dead-soft jewelers bronze wire.
STEP 3
Using chain-nose pliers, starting on the 25mm round gold plated drop, gently wrap the end of the 40-inch length of 24-gauge wire around the drop. String onto the wire one 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead centering it on the wire on the inside of the 25mm round drop. Continue wrapping the wire twice around the drop and add a 4mm round turquoise blue druk bead centered on the outside of the 25mm drop. Continue adding a 4mm round turquoise bead to the inside and outside of the 25mm drop with a double wrap on the drop in between each bead for a total of thirteen beads on the inside and fourteen beads on the outside of the 25mm round drop. Tuck the end of the wire under the last wrap to secure and finish.
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open the loop on a 6mm round turquoise blue druk beading link. Pass the loop through the loop on the earstud. Close the loop.
STEP 5
Open the opposite loop on the 6mm round turquoise blue druk beading link. Pass it through the wire next to a 4mm round turquoise blue druk on a 25mm round drop. Close the loop.
STEP 6
Repeat Steps 3 - 5 to create the second earring.
