Double-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Antiqued Gold-Plated Steel Focals, Celestial Crystal® Beads and Antiqued Brass Steel Chain

Necklace

STEP 1
Using the G-S Hypo cement, attach a 2.2mm amethyst chaton to the upper body of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece.

Repeat to attach three 1.9mm amethyst chatons to the lower body of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece, one 1.9mm amethyst chaton to the outer edge of the third wire of the upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side, one 1.9mm amethyst chaton to the outer edge of the sixth wire of the upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side, one 1.9mm light topaz chaton to the outer section of the second wire of the upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side and to the inner loop near the body of the lower wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side, one 1.9mm rose chaton to the inner section of the third wire of the upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side and the inner loop away from the body of the lower wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side.
STEP 2
String one 4mm round copper luster glass bead onto a 1-1/4 inch eyepin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a 4mm round copper luster glass beading link. Repeat to create ten 4mm round copper luster glass beading links.

Repeat to create the following using one bead and one 1-1/4 inch eyepin:
  • Four 4mm bicone faceted purple crystal beading links
  • Four 4mm round faceted light yellow crystal beading links
  • Four 4mm round faceted pink crystal beading links
Repeat to create the following using one bead and one 1-1/4 inch headpin:
  • Four 4mm bicone faceted purple crystal drops
  • Four 4mm round faceted light yellow crystal drops
  • Five 4mm round faceted pink crystal drops
STEP 3
Using flush-cutters, cut the following lengths of chain:
  • One 2-inch length, seven 2-1/4 inch lengths, six 2-3/4 inch lengths, two 3-1/2 inch lengths, and two 5-1/5 inch lengths of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain
  • Two 3-1/2 inch lengths of antiqued brass 5x3mm patterned flat cable chain
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the toggle bar portion of the clasp, the first link on a 3-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass 5x3mm patterned flat cable chain and the first link on a 3-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain. Close the jumpring.
STEP 5
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the 3-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass 5x3mm patterned flat cable chain and the last link on the 3-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain from Step 4, the first link on a 5-1/5 inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain and the loop on a 4mm bicone faceted purple crystal beading link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 6
Starting with the opposite loop on the 4mm bicone faceted purple crystal beading link in Step 5, continue connecting beading links in the following order using a 4mm jumpring in between each beading link:
  • 4mm round copper luster glass beading link
  • 4mm round faceted light yellow crystal beading link
  • 4mm round copper luster glass beading link
  • 4mm round faceted pink crystal beading link
  • 4mm round copper luster glass beading link
  • 4mm bicone faceted amethyst crystal beading link
  • 4mm round copper luster glass beading link
  • 4mm round faceted light yellow crystal beading link
  • 4mm round copper luster glass beading link
  • 4mm round faceted pink crystal beading link
STEP 7
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the last link on the 5-1/5 inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain added in Step 5, and the opposite loop on the last 4mm round faceted rose crystal beading link added in Step 6, and the right antennae of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece. Close the jumpring.
STEP 8
Repeat Steps 4 - 7 to create the second half of the necklace and connecting the chains to the toggle ring portion of the clasp.
STEP 9
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the first link on a 2-inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain, the first link on a 2-3/4 inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain and between the first and second wire on the left upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach the last link of the 2-inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain added in Step 9, the first link on a 2-3/4 inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain and between the first and second wire on the right upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece.
STEP 10
Use a 4mm jumpring to attach the first link of a 2-3/4 inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain to the 2nd, 4th, 20th, and 22nd link on the 2-inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain.

Use a 4mm jumpring to attach the first link of a 2-1/4 inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain to the 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th and 18th link on the 2-inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain.
STEP 11
Attach a 4mm bicone faceted amethyst crystal drop to the last link of chain attached to the 2nd, 8th, 20th, and 22nd link on the 2-inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain.

Attach a 4mm round faceted light yellow crystal drop to the last link of chain attached to the 1st, 10th, 16th, and the last link on the 2-inch length of antique brass 3x2mm flat cable chain.

Attach a 4mm round faceted pink crystal drop to the last link of chain attached to the 4th, 6th, 12th, 14th, and 18th link on the 2-inch length of antiqued brass 3x2mm flat cable chain.

Earrings

STEP 1
Using the G-S Hypo cement, attach a 2.2mm amethyst chaton to the upper body of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece.

Repeat to attach three 1.9mm amethyst chatons to the lower body of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece, one 1.9mm amethyst chaton to the outer edge of the third wire of the upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side, one 1.9mm amethyst chaton to the outer edge of the sixth wire of the upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side, one 1.9mm light topaz chaton to the outer section of the second wire of the upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side and to the inner loop near the body of the lower wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side, one 1.9mm rose chaton to the middle section of the first wire of the upper wing, the inner section of the third wire of the upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side and the inner loop away the body of the lower wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece on each side.

Repeat to create a second antiqued gold butterfly focal piece.
STEP 2
String one 6mm round copper luster glass bead onto a 1-1/4 inch eyepin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a 4mm round copper luster glass beading link. Repeat to create two 6mm round copper luster glass beading links.

Repeat to create two 4mm round faceted pink crystal drops using one 4mm round faceted pink crystal bead and one 1-1/4 inch headpin.
STEP 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open the loop on a 6mm round copper luster glass beading link. Pass it through the loop on an earwire. Close the loop.

Open the opposite loop on the 6mm round copper luster glass beading link. Pass it through the opening between the first and second wire on the left upper wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece. Close the loop.
STEP 4
Open the loop on the 4mm round faceted pink crystal bead drop. Pass it through the outer wire on the right lower wing of the antiqued gold butterfly focal piece. Close the loop.
STEP 5
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to create the second earring in a mirror image of the first earring.
