Triple-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Czech Glass Beads, Brass Beads and Accu-Flex® Beading Wire

Necklace

STEP 1
String one 4mm round purple satin glass bead onto an eyepin. Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a 4mm round purple satin glass beading link. Repeat to create two 4mm round purple satin glass beading links.

Repeat to create each of the following:
  • Two 6mm round gold glass beading links, using one 6mm round gold glass bead on a 1-inch eyepin
  • Two 6mm faceted round gold and purple glass beading links, using one 6mm faceted round gold and purple glass bead on a 1-inch eyepin
  • Four 6x4mm oval brass beading links, using one 6x4mm oval brass bead on a 1-inch eyepin
  • Two 6mm faceted round iris purple glass beading links, using one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead on a 1-inch eyepin
  • Four 4mm faceted round gold and purple glass beading links, using one 4mm faceted round gold and purple glass bead on a 1-inch eyepin

Side Portion of the Necklace

STEP 2
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the toggle bar portion clasp and the first loop on a 4mm round purple satin glass beading link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 3
Continue connecting components in the following order with one 5mm jumpring in between each beading link:
  • 6mm round gold glass beading link
  • 6mm faceted round gold and purple glass beading link
  • 6x4mm oval brass beading link
  • 6mm faceted round iris purple glass beading link
  • 6x4mm oval brass beading link
STEP 4
Open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it through the last loop on the last 6x4mm oval brass beading link and the first loop on two 4mm faceted round gold and purple glass beading links. Close the jumpring.
STEP 5
Open the opposite loop on the first 4mm faceted round gold and purple glass beading link. Pass the loop through the first loop on a 3-row filigree finding. Open the loop on the second 4mm faceted round gold and purple glass beading link. Pass the loop through the third loop on a 3-row filigree finding.
STEP 6
Repeat Steps 2 - 5 to create the second half of the necklace attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp.

Center Portion of the Necklace


First Strand
STEP 7
Using flush-cutters, cut a 23-inch length of brass Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire. String onto the wire one bead tip and one crimp bead. Place the crimp at the end of the wire. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end. Using chain-nose pliers, gently close the bead tip over the crimp.
STEP 8
String onto the beading wire a crimp. Measure 1-1/2 inches down the wire from the first crimp and crimp the crimp bead. String onto the wire one 4mm round copper luster glass bead and one crimp bead. Crimp the crimp bead next to the 4mm round copper luster glass bead.
STEP 9
Repeat Step 8 to add the following beads to the beading wire using one crimp bead on each side of the beads to hold them in place:
  • One 6mm round gold glass bead 3/4 inches from the previous bead
  • One 6mm round dark purple satin 1-1/2 inches from the previous bead
STEP 10
String onto the beading wire one 6x4mm oval brass bead, one crimp, one 4mm round brass bead, one 8mm faceted round gold and purple glass bead, and one 4mm round brass bead. Loop the wire and pass it back through the crimp going in the same direction. Crimp the crimp bead creating a 5/8 inch diameter loop. Place a crimp cover over the crimp. Gently close the crimp cover using a pair of chain-nose pliers.
STEP 11
Repeat Step 10 to string the following beads inside each of the wire loops:
  • One 4mm round brass bead, one 8mm round purple satin glass bead, and one 4mm round brass bead in the second loop
  • One 4mm round brass bead, one 8mm round gold glass bead, and one 4mm round brass bead in the third loop
  • One 4mm round brass bead, one 8mm faceted round gold and purple glass bead, and one 4mm round brass bead in the fourth loop
  • One 4mm round brass bead, one 8mm round purple satin glass bead, and one 4mm round brass bead in the fifth loop
STEP 12
String on one 6x4mm oval brass bead.
STEP 13
Repeat Step 9 to add the following beads to the beading wire using one crimp bead on each side of the beads to hold them in place:
  • One 6mm round dark purple satin 3/4 inches from the previous bead
  • One 6mm round gold glass bead 3/4 inches from the previous bead
  • One 4mm round copper luster glass bead 3/4 inches from the previous bead
STEP 14
String onto the beading wire one bead tip and one crimp bead. Measure 1-1/2 inches down the wire from the last crimp bead. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end. Close the bead tip over the crimp.
STEP 15
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • Two 2-inch lengths of lavender Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Two 3-1/2 inch lengths of lavender Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Two 2-1/2 inch lengths of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Two 4-inch lengths of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire
STEP 16
Match up the ends of one 2-inch length of lavender beading wire and one 2-1/2 inch length of brass beading wire. Pass the wires through the second 6x4mm oval brass bead (from Step 11) going from left to right and string onto both strands one crimp bead. Place the crimp at the end of the wire. Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. String onto both strands one crimp bead. Crimp the crimp bead on the other side of the 6x4mm oval brass bead.
STEP 17
Add the following beads to the beading wire using one crimp bead on each side of the beads to hold them in place:
  • One 4mm round purple satin glass bead 1-inch from the previous crimp on the lavender wire
  • One 6x4mm oval brass bead and one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead 1/8 inch from the end of the brass wire
STEP 18
Repeat Steps 16 and 17, passing the beading wire from right to left through the fifth 6x4mm oval brass bead (from Step 11).
STEP 19
Using one 3-1/2 inch length of lavender beading wire and one 4-inch length of brass beading wire, center the wires through the third 6x4mm oval brass bead (from Step 11). Crimp a crimp bead on each side of the 6x4mm oval brass bead to hold the wires in place.
STEP 20
Repeat Step 8 to add one 3x3mm rounded cube brass bead to each end of the lavender and brass beading wires at random lengths from the previous crimps.
STEP 21
Repeat Steps 19 and 20, centering the beading wire through the fourth 6x4mm oval brass bead.
STEP 22
Open the loop on the bead tip on the left side of the strand. Pass it through the first loop on the 3-row filigree finding attached to the toggle bar portion of the clasp. Close the loop. Repeat to attach the strand to the first loop on the on the 3-row filigree finding attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp.
Second Strand
STEP 23
Using flush-cutters, cut a 30-inch length of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire. Repeat Step 7 to attach the crimp and bead tip to the end of the wire.
STEP 24
String onto the beading wire a crimp bead. Measure 2-1/4 inches down the wire from the first crimp and crimp the crimp bead using crimping pliers. String onto the wire one 4mm round gold glass bead and one crimp bead. Crimp the crimp bead next to the 4mm round gold glass bead.
STEP 25
Repeat Step 24 to add one 6mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead a 1/2 inch from the previous bead using one crimp bead on each side of the 6mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead to hold it in place.
STEP 26
String onto the beading wire one 6x4mm oval brass bead, one crimp, one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead and one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead. Loop the wire and pass it back through the crimp going in the same direction. Crimp the crimp bead creating a 3/4 inch diameter loop. Place a crimp cover over the crimp. Gently close the crimp cover using a pair of chain-nose pliers.
STEP 27
Repeat Step 26 to string the following beads inside each of the wire loops:
  • One 4mm round copper luster glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 8mm round purple satin glass bead, and one 4mm rondelle brass bead, 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm round copper luster glass bead in the second loop
  • One 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 4mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, 8mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 4mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, and one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead in the third loop
  • One 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 8mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, and one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead in the fourth loop
  • One 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 4mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 8mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 4mm round purple satin glass bead, and one 4mm rondelle brass bead in the fifth loop
  • One 4mm round copper luster glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 8mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm round copper luster glass bead in the sixth loop
  • One 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm round purple and gold glass bead in the seventh loop
STEP 28
String on one 6x4mm oval brass bead.
STEP 29
Repeat Step 24 to add the following beads to the beading wire using one crimp bead on each side of the component to hold it in place:
  • One 6mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead 3/4 inch from the previous bead
  • One 4mm round gold glass bead 1/2 inch from the previous bead
STEP 30
String onto the beading wire one bead tip and one crimp bead. Measure 2-1/4 inches down the wire from the last crimp bead. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end. Close the bead tip over the crimp.
STEP 31
Open the loop on the bead tip on the left side of the strand. Pass it through the second loop on the on the 3-row filigree finding attached to the toggle bar portion of the clasp. Close the loop. Repeat to attach the strand to the second loop on the on the 3-row filigree finding attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp.
Third Strand
STEP 32
Using flush-cutters, cut a 40-inch length of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire. Repeat Step 7 to attach the crimp and bead tip to the end of the wire.
STEP 33
Measure 4-1/2 inches down the wire from the first crimp.
STEP 34
String onto the beading wire one crimp, one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 8mm round gold glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 6mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead. Loop the wire and pass it back through the crimp going in the same direction. Crimp the crimp bead creating a 3/4 inch diameter loop. Place a crimp cover over the crimp. Gently close the crimp cover using a pair of chain-nose pliers.
STEP 35
String onto the beading wire one 6x3mm oval brass bead.
STEP 36
Repeat Step 34 to string the following beads inside each of the wire loops and place an un-crimped crimp bead on the wire in between each of the wire loops:
  • One 4mm round gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 5x5mm rounded cube brass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 5x5mm rounded cube brass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm round gold glass bead in the second 7/8 inch loop
  • One 4mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm round dark purple glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, 8mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 6mm round dark purple glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm round purple satin bead in the third 1-inch loop
  • One 4mm round copper luster glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted dark purple satin glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, 8mm round gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted dark purple satin glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm round copper luster glass bead in the fourth 1-inch loop
  • One 6mm round dark purple glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead, one 5x5mm rounded cube brass bead, one 8mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead, one 5x5mm rounded cube brass bead, one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 6mm round dark purple glass bead in the fifth 1-1/4 inch loop
  • One 4mm round copper luster glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted dark purple satin glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 8mm round gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm faceted dark purple satin glass bead, and one 4mm round brass bead in the sixth 1-inch loop
  • One 4mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 6mm round dark purple glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 8mm round purple satin glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 6mm round dark purple glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm round purple satin bead in the seventh 1-inch loop
  • One 4mm round gold glass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, one 5x5mm rounded cube brass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 6mm faceted round iris purple glass bead, one 4mm rondelle brass bead, one 5x5mm rounded cube brass bead, one 4mm round brass bead, and one 4mm round gold glass bead in the eighth 7/8-inch loop
STEP 37
String on one 6x4mm oval brass bead.
STEP 38
Repeat Step 34 to create the ninth 3/4 inch diameter loop.
STEP 39
String onto the beading wire one bead tip and one crimp bead. Measure 4-1/4 inches down the wire from the last crimp bead. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end. Close the bead tip over the crimp.
STEP 40
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • Two 5-inch lengths of lavender Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Two 5-1/2 inch lengths of lavender Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Two 6-inch lengths of lavender Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Two 5-inch lengths of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Two 5-1/2 inch lengths of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Two 6-inch lengths of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire
STEP 41
Using one 5-inch length of lavender beading wire and one 5-inch length of brass beading wire, center the wires through the crimp between the second and third loops (from Step 36). Crimp the crimp bead to hold the wires in place.
STEP 42
Repeat Step 8 to add the following beads to the beading wires using one crimp bead on each side of the beads to hold them in place:
  • One 3x3mm rounded cube brass bead at random lengths from the previous crimp on each side of the lavender wire
  • One 3x3mm rounded cube brass bead and one 4mm round purple satin glass bead at the end of one side of the brass wire
  • One 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead at the opposite end of the brass wire
STEP 43
Repeat Steps 41 and 42, centering the beading wire through the sixth crimp (from Step 36).
STEP 44
Using one 5-1/2 inch length of lavender beading wire and one 5-1/2 inch length of brass beading wire, center the wires through the second crimp (from Step 36). Crimp the crimp bead to hold the wires in place.
STEP 45
Using one 5-1/2 inch length of lavender beading wire and one 5-1/2 inch length of brass beading wire, center the wires through the second crimp (from Step 36). Crimp the crimp bead to hold the wires in place.
  • One 4mm round gold bead at random lengths from the previous crimp on each side of the lavender wire
  • One 4mm round purple satin bead at the end of one side of the brass wire
  • One 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead at the opposite end of the brass wire
STEP 46
Repeat Steps 44 and 45, centering the beading wire through the fifth crimp (from Step 36).
STEP 47
Using one 6-inch length of lavender beading wire and one 6-inch length of brass beading wire, center the wires through the third crimp (from Step 36). Crimp the crimp bead to hold the wires in place.
STEP 48
Repeat Step 8 to add the following beads to the beading wire using one crimp bead on each side of the beads to hold them in place:
  • One 4mm round gold bead at random lengths from the previous crimp on each side of the lavender wire
  • One 4mm round purple satin bead at the end of one side of the brass wire
  • One 3x3mm rounded cube brass bead and 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead at the opposite end of the brass wire
STEP 49
Repeat Steps 47 and 48, centering the beading wire through the fourth crimp (from Step 36).
STEP 50
Open the loop on the bead tip on the left side of the strand. Pass it through the third loop on the on the 3-row filigree finding attached to the toggle bar portion of the clasp. Close the loop. Repeat to attach the strand to the third loop on the on the 3-row filigree finding attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp.

Earrings

STEP 1
String one 6mm dark purple satin glass bead onto an eyepin. Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a 6mm dark purple satin glass beading link. Repeat to create two 6mm dark purple satin glass beading links.

Repeat to create two 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass beading links, using one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead on an eyepin.
STEP 2
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • Four 1-3/4 inch lengths of lavender Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Four 2-inch lengths of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire
  • Four 1-1/2 inch lengths of brass Accu-Flex® beading wire
STEP 3
Match the ends of one 1-3/4 inch length of lavender beading wire, one 2-inch length of brass beading wire, and one 1-1/2 inch length of brass beading wire. Pass the ends of the wires into a crimp with loop. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Repeat to create four sets of wires attached to a crimp with loop.
STEP 4
String onto one 1-3/4 inch length of lavender beading wire one 4mm round gold glass bead and a crimp bead. Measure 1-inch down the wire from the first crimp and crimp the crimp bead using crimping pliers.

String onto one 1-1/2 inch length of brass beading wire one 4mm round copper luster glass bead and a crimp bead. Measure 1-1/4 inch down the wire from the first crimp and crimp the crimp bead.

String onto one 2-inch length of brass beading wire one 4mm round purple satin glass bead and a crimp bead. Measure 1-3/4 inch down the wire from the first crimp and crimp the crimp bead.

Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the loop on the crimp. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to create a second beaded wire set.
STEP 5
String onto one 1-3/4 inch length of lavender beading wire one 4mm round copper luster glass bead and a crimp bead. Measure 1-1/2 inch down the wire from the first crimp and crimp the crimp bead using crimping pliers.

String onto one 1-1/2 inch length of brass beading wire one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead and a crimp bead. Measure 1-1/4 inch down the wire from the first crimp and crimp the crimp bead.

String onto one 2-inch length of brass beading wire one 4mm faceted round purple and gold glass bead and a crimp bead. Measure 1-inch down the wire from the first crimp and crimp the crimp bead.

Open the 4mm jumpring added in Step 4. Pass the jumpring through the loop on the crimp. Close the jumpring. Repeat to create a second beaded wire set.
STEP 6
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open the loop on a 6mm dark purple satin glass beading link. Pass it through the loop on an earwire. Close the loop. Open the opposite loop on the 6mm dark purple satin glass beading link. Pass it through the top loop on a gold-plated 8x5mm filigree beading link. Close the loop.
STEP 7
Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the opposite loop on the gold-plated 8x5mm filigree beading link and the top loop on a 4mm faceted round purple and glass beading link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 8
Open the opposite loop on the 4mm faceted round purple and glass beading link. Pass the loop through the jumpring attached to one beaded wire set from Step 4 and the loop on one beaded wire set from Step 5. Close the jumpring.
STEP 9
Repeat Steps 6 - 8 to create the second earring.
