High Heel Shoe Display with Swarovski Crystal Flat Backs
Use an old pair of shoes or a thrift-store find to make this ring holder. The larger the shoe, the more rings it will hold.
Cut strips of fleece five inches long (there are 11 strips in this shoe) and as wide as the shoe.
Note: Each shoe width will vary so be sure to measure before you cut.
Tightly roll up each strip like a jellyroll.
Squeeze out a bead of glue on the inside two inches of each roll and let dry.
Cut to fit and place a roll horizontally in the middle of the shoe. Repeat to fit all the rolls until the shoe is filled top to bottom.
Remove the middle roll. Squeeze out a bead of glue along the bottom of the roll and both edges then put the roll back in place. Repeat for the remaining rolls then let the glue dry completely.
Glue flat back crystals onto the shoe.
Tip: I hand drew a design in pencil first and glued the crystals over the pencil line.
Clip or pin your focal piece to the front of the shoe. You can also glue a pin back onto an existing necklace focal or metal disk and further embellish with crystal flat backs.
