Ring with Swarovski Crystal Beads and Drops and Seed Beads

STEP 1
Using the FiberFuse, cut a 1-1/2 foot length of FireLine. Add a needle to one end. String on five top-drilled bicones. Pass the needle and thread through the beads again to form a circle. Tie the tail thread and the working thread together. Pass the needle through the next bead in the circle.
STEP 2
String on another top-drilled bicone. Pass the needle through the hole of the bicone across the circle.

Pass the needle back through the bicone now in the center of the circle and then through the hole of the top-drilled bicone you started this path with--this will secure the bead in the center.
STEP 3
String on a Swarovski crystal aurum bicone bead then pass the needle through the next bead in the circle.

Repeat adding a crystal aurum bicone bead between each bead in the circle.
STEP 4
String on a gold seed bead, a Swarovski Siam round bead and a gold seed bead. Pass the needle through the next crystal aurum bicone bead in the circle.

Repeat all the way around the circle. As you add the last set of beads, "step up," passing your needle up the crystal aurum bicone bead, gold seed bead and Siam round bead in the circle.
STEP 5
String on a crystal aurum bicone bead then pass through the next Siam round bead in the circle.

Repeat around the circle.
STEP 6
Underside view
Weave the needle down through the nearest beads, keeping your thread on a path where it won't be visible, zigzagging as you go. Pass the needle through to the underside of the star.
STEP 7
Form the ring shank on a steel mandrel at the proper ring size.
STEP 8
Using chain-nose pliers, straighten the ends so they are standing up away from the band.
STEP 9
String on three gold seed beads. Pass the needle through the hole on one side of the ring shank. Add two seed beads. Pass the needle back through the ring shank and the two seed beads closest to the shank on the other side.
STEP 10
Tighten up the spacing between the star and the ring shank; weave the needle one more time through the four seed beads now connected to the ring shank, and then through the fifth one closest to the star. String on three gold seed beads and pass the needle through the top row of crystals so the thread is not visible and the side of the ring is anchored to the ring shank.

Weave the thread over to the other side of the star and ring shank. Repeat Step 6. Repeat Steps 9 - 10.

Weave the thread through the beads, zigzagging so you cannot see the thread, anchoring the thread within the beadwork. Make a few half-hitch knots as you go to make sure the thread is secure. Weave the thread over to the tail thread and make a surgeon's knot. Weave the thread through a few more beads then use the FiberFuse to cut the excess thread ends off.
