Single-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Swarovski Crystal Beads, Cultured Freshwater Pearls and Sterling Silver Bead Caps and Chain

Necklace

STEP 1
String one sterling silver 7x2mm flower bead cap and one 10mm rice pearl with Swarovski chatons onto a 1.5-inch headpin with ball. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire, creating a 10mm rice pearl drop. Repeat to create a total of twenty-five 10mm rice pearl with Swarovski chatons bead drops (using random bead caps).

Repeat to create the following using one random bead cap and one bead:
  • Nineteen 8mm black cherry rice pearl bead drops using one bead cap and one 8mm black cherry rice pearl and one 1.5-inch headpin with ball
  • Fifteen 8mm bicone Siam crystal bead drops using one bead cap and one 8mm bicone Siam crystal and one 1.5-inch headpin with ball
  • Twenty-five 8mm round white pearl bead drops using one bead cap and one 8mm round white pearl and one 1.5-inch headpin with ball
  • Five sterling silver 6mm round stardust bead drops using one bead cap and one sterling silver 6mm round stardust bead and one 1.5-inch headpin with ball
STEP 2
Using a pair of flush-cutters cut two 5-inch lengths of sterling silver 10x5mm elongated cable chain.
STEP 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 4.5mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the toggle bar portion of the clasp and the first link on a 5-inch length of chain. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach the toggle ring portion of the clasp to the first link of the second 5-inch length of chain.
STEP 4
Using a pair of flush-cutters, cut a 15-inch length of Accu-Flex beading wire. String onto the wire: one crimp tube, one 1/2 inch piece of French wire and the last link on the 5-inch length of chain attached to the toggle ring portion of the clasp. Pass the wire back through the crimp tube, leaving one end of the wire approximately 1-inch long.

Pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the last link of chain so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using a pair of crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using a pair of flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end.
STEP 5
String onto the wire one Swarovski 6mm bicone Siam crystal, two random sterling silver bead caps, and one sterling silver 6mm round stardust bead.
STEP 6
String onto the wire four bead drops (from Step 1 in a random order), one Swarovski 6mm bicone Siam crystal, four bead drops and one sterling silver 6mm round stardust bead.

Repeat ten times for a total of eleven sets.
STEP 7
String onto the wire four bead drops, one sterling silver 6mm round stardust bead, two random sterling silver bead caps and one Swarovski 6mm bicone Siam crystal.
STEP 8
String onto the wire one crimp tube, one 1/2 inch piece of French wire and the last link of the other 5-inch length of sterling silver chain attached to the toggle bar portion of the clasp. Pass the wire back through the crimp tube, and then pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the last link of chain so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Make sure there is no slack along the length by rotating the bead drops around the beading wire to create a tight look on the necklace. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using a pair of crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Trim the excess wire from the end.
