Multi-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Cebu Beauty Lily Shell Beads, Cultured Freshwater Pearls and Czech Fire-Polished Glass Beads

Necklace

STEP 1
Cut the following lengths:
  • Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire:
    • Two 2-1/2 inch lengths
    • One 10-1/2 inch length
    • One 13-inch length
    • One 15-inch length
    • One 17-1/2 inch length
    • One 18-1/2 inch length
  • Four 5-inch lengths of shell with rectangle chain
  • Two 5-inch lengths of 4.8x3.3mm cable chain
  • Fourteen 1/2 inch lengths of French wire
  • Two 4-foot lengths of royal blue size D Nymo® thread
STEP 2
String onto one 2-1/2 inch length of beading wire: one crimp, one 6mm twisted jumpring and one length of French wire. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the French wire leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end.

Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 4mm crimp cover.
STEP 3
Continue to string the following: one light blue 6mm round, five misty violet stick pearls and one light blue 6mm round.

Repeat Step 2 to secure the strand.
STEP 4
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to create a second misty violet stick pearl strand.
STEP 5
String one lavender 6mm round onto one 1-inch eyepin then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of four lavender 6mm round links.

Repeat using lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearls to create a total of two lavender semi-round pearl links.
STEP 6
String one loop on one end of one 16x3mm curved flat end bar link and one light blue 6mm round onto one 1-inch headpin then form a simple loop. Repeat to string the opposite loop of the curved flat end bar link.

Connect the two simple loops using one lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl link.
STEP 7
Repeat Step 6 to create a second light blue round and lavender pearl link.
STEP 8
Pass the simple loop on one lavender round link through the twisted jumpring on one end of one misty violet stick pearl strand then close. Pass the loop on the opposite end of the lavender round link through the loop on one side of one light blue round and lavender link then close.

Repeat to connect a second lavender round link to the opposite side of the light blue round and lavender link.

Repeat to connect the second light blue round and lavender pearl link to the remaining lavender round links.

First Strand (Inner Strand)

STEP 9
String onto one 10-1/2 inch length of beading wire: one crimp and one length of French wire. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the French wire leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end.

Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire.
STEP 10
String the following onto the beading wire:
  • One purple haze 4mm bicone
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • Three Cebu beauty shell chips
STEP 11
Continue to add the following separating each with three Cebu beauty shell chips:
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One purple haze 6mm bicone
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One iris blue 5-6mm rice pearl
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • One purple haze 6mm bicone
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
Repeat Step 10 in the opposite direction to complete the strand.

Repeat Step 9 to secure the strand.

Second Strand

STEP 12
String onto one 13 inch length of beading wire: one crimp and one length of French wire. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the French wire leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end.

Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire.
STEP 13
String the following onto the beading wire:
  • Two light blue 6mm rounds
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One Cebu beauty shell chip
  • One iris blue 5-6mm rice pearl
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One Cebu beauty shell chip
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • One purple haze 6mm bicone
  • One Cebu beauty shell chip
  • One iris blue 7-8mm rice pearl
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • One lavender 8mm round
STEP 14
Continue to string approximately 5-inches of rainbow opaque cobalt #8 seed beads. Add a Bead Stopper™.

Creating a Double Spiral Roll

STEP 15
Pass one 4-foot length of royal blue thread through the first four rainbow opaque cobalt #8 seed beads leaving a 2-inch tail. Using a half-hitch knot secure the tail to the first rainbow opaque cobalt #8 seed bead.
STEP 16
Continue to string five of the following beads in the pattern of your choice onto the thread:
  • Cebu beauty shell chip
  • Light blue AB 4mm round
  • Purple haze 4mm bicone
  • Lavender 6mm round
  • Iris blue 5-6mm rice pearl
  • One light blue 6mm round
Bring the thread back through the four previous seed beads. Move this section to the left.

String another five beads in the pattern of your choice onto the thread and pass the thread back through the seed beads moving this section to the right creating a double spiral roll.

Tip: It may be necessary to cut other lengths of thread later in the design.
STEP 17
Repeat the double spiral roll the full 5-inch length of seed beads. Weave the remaining thread back through several beads with half-hitch knots to secure.
STEP 18
Repeat Step 13 in the opposite direction to string the second half of the strand.

Repeat Step 12 to secure the strand.

Third Strand

STEP 19
Repeat Step 12 using the 15-inch length of beading wire.

String the following onto the beading wire:
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • Iris blue 5-6mm rice pearl
  • Two Cebu beauty shell chips
STEP 20
Continue to add the following separating each with three Cebu beauty shell chips:
  • One light blue AB 4mm round
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One light blue AB 4mm round
  • One purple haze 4mm bicone
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One iris blue 5-6mm rice pearl
  • One purple haze 4mm bicone
  • One light blue AB 4mm round
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One light blue AB 4mm round
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One purple haze 4mm bicone
  • One iris blue 5-6mm rice pearl
  • One light blue AB 4mm round
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One purple haze 4mm bicone
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One light blue AB 4mm round
Repeat Step 19 in the opposite direction to string the second half of the strand.

Fourth Strand

STEP 21
Repeat Step 12 using the 17-1/2 inch length of beading wire.

String the following beads onto the beading wire: one light blue 6mm round, one lavender 8mm round and one lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl.
STEP 22
Continue to string approximately 15-inches of rainbow opaque cobalt #8 seed beads. Add a Bead Stopper

Repeat Steps 15 - 17 to create a double spiral roll the entire length of the 15 inches.

Repeat Step 21 in reverse order to string the second half of the strand and secure it.

Fifth Strand

STEP 23
Repeat Step 12 using the 18-1/2 inch length of beading wire.
STEP 24
String the following onto the beading wire:
  • Two light blue 6mm rounds
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • Five Cebu beauty shell chips
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • Seven Cebu beauty shell chips
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One Cebu beauty shell purple 4-5mm heishi
  • One iris blue 5-6mm rice pearl
  • One Cebu beauty shell purple 4-5mm heishi
  • One lavender 6mm round
  • One Cebu beauty shell purple 4-5mm heishi
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • Repeat this sequence to string two sets:
    • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
    • Ten Cebu beauty shell chips
  • One lavender 7-8mm semi-round pearl
  • One Cebu beauty shell purple 4-5mm heishi
  • One light blue 6mm round
  • One Cebu beauty shell purple 4-5mm heishi
  • One iris blue 5-6mm rice pearl
  • One Cebu beauty shell purple 4-5mm heishi
  • Five Cebu beauty shell chips
STEP 25
Repeat Step 24 in the opposite direction to string the second half of the strand.

Repeat Step 12 to secure the strand.

Necklace Assembly

STEP 26
Pass one 4mm jumpring through the French wire on one end of the first strand and the first loop on one 16x3mm curved flat end bar link then close. Repeat to attach the opposite end of the strand to the first loop on one 16x3mm curved flat end bar link.

Repeat to attach the second, third, fourth and fifth strands using the consecutive loops on the previous curved flat end bar links.
STEP 27
Attach the last link from one 5-inch length of shell with rectangle chain to the twisted jumpring on the misty violet stick pearl strand. Repeat to attach the last link from a second 5-inch length of shell with rectangle chain and one 5-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm cable chain.
STEP 28
Using one 4mm jumpring connect the first link on the previous two 5-inch lengths of shell with rectangle chain, one 5-inch length of 4.8x3.3mm cable chain and the loop on one portion of toggle clasp.
STEP 29
Repeat Steps 27 and 28 to secure the second half of the necklace.

Earrings

STEP 1
String one misty violet stick pearl onto one 3/4 inch ball headpin then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second misty violet stick pearl drop.
STEP 2
String three Cebu beauty chips onto one 1-inch eyepin then form a simple loop creating a Cebu beauty chip link. Repeat to create a second Cebu beauty chip link.

String one light blue 6mm round onto one 1-inch eyepin then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second light blue 6mm round link.
STEP 3
Connect the simple loop from the misty violet stick pearl to one loop on one Cebu beauty chip link.

Connect the opposite loop from the previous Cebu beauty chip link to one loop on one light blue 6mm round link.

Connect the opposite loop from the previous light blue 6mm round link to one leverback earwire.
STEP 4
Repeat Step 3 to create a second earring.
