Single-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Silver-Plated Brass with Double-Sided Epoxy Drops and Copper Embellishments and Chain

Necklace

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • one 15-inch length of copper 18-gauge round wire
  • one 4-1/2 inch length (with toggle bar clasp attached) and one 6-1/2 inch length of copper 15mm round chain
STEP 2
Using a pair of round-nose and chain-nose pliers, form a simple loop on the end of the 15-inch length of wire. Measure one inch from the last loop and form another full loop. Continue to form simple loops every 3/4 inch for a total of 7 (inside) loops. Measure one inch from the last loop. Form a simple loop on the end of the wire. Gently bend the entire length of wire into a crescent shape.
STEP 3
Open the loop on one end of the crescent-shaped wire and pass it through the last link on the 4-1/2 inch length of chain. Close the loop. Repeat to attach the opposite loop of the crescent-shaped wire to the last link on the 6-1/2 inch length of chain.
STEP 4
Using a steel hole punch, punch a hole in the top of a 49x26mm oval copper embellishment. Repeat to punch one hole in the top of two 33x33mm triangle copper embellishments, two 32mm round copper embellishments and two 30x22mm teardrop copper embellishments.
STEP 5
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it through the hole on a 35x14mm blue silver-plated marquise drop, the 49x22mm oval copper embellishment and the center simple loop on the crescent-shaped wire. Close the jumpring.
STEP 6
Repeat to attach the following components to the simple loops on the crescent-shaped wire:
  • One 20x14mm open rectangle yellow silver-plated drop and one 32mm round copper embellishment to the 3rd and 5th loops
  • One 18x12mm open oval green silver-plated drop and one 33x33mm triangle copper embellishment to the 2nd and 6th loops
  • One 24x5mm open marquise orange silver-plated drop and one 30x22mm teardrop copper embellishment to the 1st and 7th loops

Earrings

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters, cut two 12-inch lengths of copper 18-gauge round wire.
STEP 2
Using a pair of round-nose and chain-nose pliers, form a simple loop on the end of one of the 12-inch lengths of wire. Measure one inch from the loop and form another full loop. Continue to form full loops every 1/2 inch for a total of 5 full loops. Measure one inch from the last full loop and form a simple loop on the end of the wire. Gently bend the entire length of wire into a circle shape.
STEP 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it through the first and last loop on the circle-shaped wire and the loop of an earwire. Close the jumpring.
STEP 4
Using a steel hole punch, punch a hole in the top of a 27x27mm triangle copper embellishment.

Repeat to punch one hole in the top of five 18x18mm triangle copper embellishment.
STEP 5
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat nose pliers, open a 5mm jumpring. Pass it through the hole on a 18x12mm oval blue silver-plated drop, one 27x27x26mm triangle copper embellishment and the jumpring attached to the earwire. Close the jumpring.
STEP 6
Repeat to attach the following components to the simple loops on the circle-shaped wire (working from right to left):
  • One 10x6mm red silver-plated oval and one 18x18x18mm triangle copper embellishment to the 1st loop
  • One 10x6mm pink silver-plated oval and one 18x18x18mm triangle copper embellishment to the 2nd loop
  • One 10x6mm yellow silver-plated oval and one 18x18x18mm triangle copper embellishment to the 3rd loop
  • One 10x6mm green silver-plated oval and one 18x18x18mm triangle copper embellishment to the 4th loop
  • One 10x6mm orange silver-plated oval and one 18x18x18mm triangle copper embellishment to the 5th loop
STEP 7
Repeat Steps 2 through 6 to create the second earring.
