Bracelet with Antiqued Copper Beads and Bead Caps and Imitation Sinew

STEP 1
Using hole punch pliers, punch 3/8 inch from the left edge of the bracelet starting 1/8 inch past the snap on the leather bracelet. Make another hole 3/8 inch from the right edge of the bracelet.

Repeat to make two holes 3/8 inch in from the right and left edges every 1/2 inch down the length of the bracelet for a total of thirteen sets of two.

Note: You may want to make a template of the bracelet using paper to make sure your holes are where you want them. Then use a pencil to mark the leather bracelet before punching the holes.
STEP 2
Using a wood mallet and a background stamp. Pattern the front of the leather bracelet. Turn the background stamp in different angles to vary the pattern with each stamp.
STEP 3
Using a brush, apply a thin layer of copper Gilders Paste® over the patterned leather. Allow paste to dry for 12 to 24 hours.

Note: Thin out with paint thinner or mineral spirits to transform the highly concentrated paste into a preferred consistency. Use in a well-ventilated area.
STEP 4
Using a pair of scissors, cut two 36-inch lengths of dark brown imitation sinew.
STEP 5
Match up the ends of the two lengths of sinew together. Pass the ends of the sinew through the first hole on the first set of holes from the back of the bracelet until approximately half of the sinew is out the front of the hole.

Both sets of sinew should be out the front of the bracelet an equal distance.

Pass one copper 8x2mm rondelle onto each of the sinew strands. Cross the strands over each other. Place one copper 8x2mm rondelle over the next set of holes on the bracelet and pass the sinew through the rondelle and the hole in the bracelet creating an X pattern. Pass the ends of the sinew up through the first holes on the second set of holes. Both sets of sinew should be out the front of the bracelet.
STEP 6
Pass one copper 8x2mm rondelle onto each of the sinew strands. Cross the strands over each other. Place one copper 8x2mm rondelle over the next hole on the bracelet and pass the sinew through the rondelle and the hole in the bracelet. Pull the sinew tight through to the back of the bracelet. Repeat to pass the second sinew through one copper 8x2mm rondelle and the opposite hole on the bracelet creating an X pattern.
STEP 7
Pass the lengths of sinew up through the first holes on the third set of holes on the bracelet.

Pass the second length of sinew up through the first hole on the third set of holes on the bracelet.
STEP 8
Repeat Steps 6 and 7 two times for a total of three sets.
STEP 9
Pass the first length of sinew up through the one hole on the seventh set of holes on the bracelet and through a copper 10mm double cone bead. Pass the sinew though the opposite hole exiting to the back of the bracelet.

Pass the second length of sinew up through the other hole on the seventh set of holes on the bracelet and through the copper 10mm double cone bead going in the opposite direction. Pass the sinew though the opposite hole exiting to the back of the bracelet.
STEP 10
Repeat Steps 6 and 7 two times for a total of three more sets. The ends of both lengths of sinew should be exiting the back of the bracelet.
STEP 11
Pass the sinew under itself down the back of the bracelet to secure the sinew in place.
