STEP 1
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers separate twelve 1-3/4 inch segments of gold-plated shell with rectangle chain. Each of the twelve segments should consist of a shell link, a rectangle link and a second shell link. Leave the small wire links that connect each link intact, as well as the wire links on each end of the shell links.
STEP 2
On five segments of chain, remove and reattach one shell link so the bottoms of the shells are facing each other. On the rest of the segments of chain, remove and reattach one shell link so the tops of the shells are facing each other.
STEP 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers open one gold-plated 4mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the loop on one gold-plated lobster claw clasp and one loop on a Swarovski emerald and gold-plated 13x9mm oval link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 4
Open the loop of the small wire link on one segment of gold-plated shell with rectangle chain, with the tops of the shells facing each other, and attach it to the opposite loop on the Swarovski emerald and gold-plated 13x9mm oval link. Close the loop.
STEP 5
Open the opposite loop of the small wire link on the segment of gold-plated shell with rectangle chain and attach one loop on a Swarovski emerald and gold-plated 13x9mm oval link. Close the loop.
STEP 6
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 a total of four times with chain segments where the tops of the shells are facing each other.
STEP 7
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to attach the five chain segments where the bottoms of the shells are facing each other.
STEP 8
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers remove the small wire links from the ends of each shell on the remaining segments of gold-plated shell with rectangle chain.
STEP 9
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers open one gold-plated 4mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the second loop on the previous Swarovski emerald and gold-plated 13x9mm oval link and one loop on one end of a remaining segment of gold-plated shell with rectangle chain. Close the jumpring.
STEP 10
Open a second gold-plated 4mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through one loop on a Swarovski emerald and gold-plated 13x9mm oval link and the loop on the opposite end of the segment of gold-plated shell with rectangle chain. Close the jumpring.
STEP 11
Repeat Steps 9 and 10 a total of three times to attach the remaining segments of gold-plated shell with rectangle chain to a Swarovski emerald and gold-plated 13x9mm oval link.
STEP 12
Open one gold-plated 4mm jumpring. Pass the jumpring through the opposite loop on the last Swarovski emerald and gold-plated 13x9mm oval link and one gold-plated 6mm jumpring. Close the jumpring.
Tip: This necklace is adjustable and can be shortened using the 4mm jumprings with a length hanging down in the back.
