Necklace

Flower Bib

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters cut one-hundred and five 3-1/2 inch lengths of gold 24-gauge aluminum wire and one 11-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.

Using chain-nose pliers separate one 8-inch length and one 8-1/2 inch length of gold-plated 8mm round chain.
STEP 2
Mix a small amount of Devcon® 5-Minute® Epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions.

Apply a small amount to the inside of one gold-plated 8x5.5mm bell cap then insert the pointed end of one Swarovski luminous green 14x11mm pure leaf embellishment creating a leaf drop. Repeat to create a total of ten leaf drops then set aside to dry.
STEP 3
String one Czech glass opaque satin gold 4mm round onto one length of aluminum wire. Center the bead on the wire and twist the wire to the end creating a spiral ''stem.'' Trim to approximately 3/4 inch then using round-nose pliers create a small hook on the end of the wire.

Repeat to create the following:
  • Eleven more wired opaque gold 4mm rounds
  • Nine Czech glass opaque light bronze 6mm rounds with 3/4 inch stem
  • Thirteen Swarovski cyclamen opal 14x14mm hearts with 1/4 inch stem
  • Seven brown cubic zirconia 12x12mm hearts with 1/4 inch stem
  • Seven Swarovski cyclamen opal 6mm bicone drops with 1/4 inch stem
  • Six olive cubic zirconia 16x12mm teardrops with 1/2 inch stem
STEP 4
String one Swarovski palace green opal 11x5.5mm briolette onto one length of wire. Center the briolette then wrap the wire around the point of the briolette to secure. Create a 1/2 inch stem with hook. Repeat to create a total of seven wired briolettes.

Repeat to create eleven brown cubic zirconia 12x6mm teardrops and ten leaf with bell cap drops.
STEP 5
String one green onyx 12x12mm triangle onto one 3-1/4 inch length of wire. Arrange the triangle slightly off center then bend the longer wire on the flat side of the triangle down to the pointed end. Create a 1/2 inch stem with hook. Repeat to create a total of eight wired triangles.
STEP 6
Place an antiqued gold 38mm flower component on a flat surface. Place a ring of aluminum foil around the outer edge of the center of each flower (this keeps the epoxy in and prevents the wired beads from drooping).
STEP 7
Apply a thin layer of Devcon 5-Minute epoxy inside the foil ring then arrange six olive cubic zirconia 16x12mm teardrops, so the ''petal'' beads hang over the foil edge. Attach six wired opaque gold 4mm rounds, six wired cyclamen opal 14x14mm hearts and six wired brown cubic zirconia teardrops using individual layers of epoxy.

Using E-6000® Jewelry and Craft adhesive attach one Swarovski and gold-plated light rose and amethyst 19x19mm flower component to the center. Set aside to dry completely.
STEP 8
Repeat Step 6 and 7 using the following to create a second flower component:
  • Ten leaf with bell cap drops
  • Five wired opaque gold 4mm rounds
  • Seven wired cyclamen opal 14x14mm hearts
  • Seven wired palace green opal briolettes
  • One Swarovski and gold-plated clear, violet and white opal 33x33mm flower component
STEP 9
Repeat Step 6 and 7 using the following to create a third flower component:
  • Eight wired triangles
  • Five wired opaque light bronze 6mm rounds
  • Seven wired brown cubic zirconia hearts
  • Seven wired cyclamen opal 6mm bicone drops
  • One light rose and amethyst 19x19mm flower component
STEP 10
Pass one 8mm jumpring through the loop on one flower focal and a loop along the edge of one flower component from Step 7. Close the jumpring.

Connect the flower petal above the loop on the flower focal to another loop on the flower component. Repeat to create double jumprings.
STEP 11
Connect the flower petal below the loop on the flower focal to two loops on the second flower component using double jumprings. Repeat to connect the petal on the opposite side of the flower focal to the loop on a second flower focal then connect the adjacent petal on the bottom to the petal below the loop on the second flower focal.

Attach the third flower component to the bottom of the second flower focal using single jumprings.

Attach a flower link to the top of the component on each side of the bib using double jumprings.

STEP 14
Attach the drops from Steps 12 and the drops from Step 13, using 5mm jumprings, to the first seven inches of an 8-inch length of chain in a random pattern.
STEP 15
Attach the beaded end of the length of chain to the flower link on the right side of the flower bib using 8mm double jumprings then attach the opposite end to the bar portion of the toggle clasp using a single 8mm jumpring.
STEP 16
String onto the beading wire one gold-filled 2x2mm crimp bead, one gold-plated 10x2mm cord coil and the loop on flower link on the left side of the flower bib. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the cord coil leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite®) inside the crimp (optional).

Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Place one gold-plated 4mm stardust crimp cover over the crimp bead then gently close it.
