Citrine Links and Focal

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters cut the following lengths of glass rhinestone clear 4mm round cupchain:
  • One thirty-nine cup length
  • One nineteen cup length
  • Thirteen ten cup lengths
STEP 2
Mix equal amounts of the Apoxie® Sculpt (equaling approximately the size of a small grape) for two minutes, or until thoroughly blended.

Place onto a silicone pad and roll flat, approximately 2mm thick.
STEP 3
Press one citrine 12x10mm oval cabochon into the Apoxie Sculpt. Press a second citrine cabochon approximately 5mm below the first.
STEP 4
Beginning in the center between the two cabochons press one end of the nineteen cup length of cupchain into the Apoxie Sculpt. Wrap the cupchain around one cabochon outlining the border.

Continue to outline the second cupchain positioning the end of the chain as close to the beginning as possible creating a figure eight.
STEP 5
Press one red coral 6mm cabochon into the Apoxie Sculpt on either side of the cupchain where it comes together in the center.
STEP 6
Press the center of the thirty-nine cup length of cupchain into the Apoxie Sculpt, below the previous cupchain outlining the bottom citrine cabochon. Outline the cupchain and red coral cabochons on either side, continuing approximately halfway up the cupchain outlining the first citrine cabochon.

Place Apoxie Sculpt onto a silicone pad and roll flat to approximately 2mm thick.
STEP 8

Repeat to create a total of eleven citrine components (nine for the necklace and two for the earrings).
STEP 9
Use a Super Slicer blade to cut around the components and focal, close to the outer cupchain; remove excess clay.

Set components and focal aside and allow 24 hours for complete hardening.
STEP 10
After the components and focal have hardened use the Jooltool™ Polishing System to smooth edges and remove excess Apoxie Sculpt from around the cupchain.
STEP 11
Place a piece of spare polymer clay on a flat surface. Press one citrine component onto the clay, back side facing up.

Mix Devcon® 5-Minute® Epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions. Apply a small line of epoxy down the center of the back of the component. Place one silver-finished 24x4mm spacer bar onto the epoxy so the last hole on either end of the bar hangs over the edge creating a link.

Repeat to create a total of nine citrine links.
