Double-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Swarovski Crystal

Necklace

STEP 1
String one Swarovski smoked topaz 8mm round onto the straight end of a headpin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire to create a Swarovski smoked topaz bead drop. Repeat to create a total of two Swarovski smoked topaz bead drops.
STEP 2
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the first loop on the insert portion of the clasp. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach one 4mm jumpring to each of the loops on both portions of the clasp.

Open one 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on one Swarovski smoked topaz 8mm round bead drop. Close the jumpring. Repeat to attach a 4mm jumpring to the second Swarovski smoked topaz 8mm round bead drop.
STEP 3
Using flush-cutters, cut a 5-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.

String onto the wire the following:
  • One crimp tube
  • One Swarovski smoked topaz 17mm Artemis bead (narrow end first)
  • One Swarovski crystal red magma 12mm Artemis bead (narrow end first)
  • One Swarovski crystal copper 12mm Artemis bead (narrow end first)
  • One Swarovski crystal golden shadow 12mm Artemis bead (narrow end first)
  • One 1/2 inch piece of French wire
Pass the wire through the jumpring attached to one Swarovski smoked topaz 8mm round bead drop. Pass the wire back through the four Artemis beads in the opposite direction. Pull the wire until the French wire forms a nicely curved loop under the last Artemis bead. Pass the wire back through the crimp tube in the opposite direction. String a 3/4 inch piece of French wire onto the beading wire and pass the wire back through the crimp. Pull the crimp tight against the French wire so the top French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the both ends of the wire.

Place a crimp cover over the crimp tube then gently close it to create an Artemis bead drop.

Repeat to create a second Artemis bead drop.

First Strand

STEP 4
Using flush-cutters, cut a 25-inch length of gold Accu-Flex beading wire. String onto the wire: one crimp tube and a 1/2 inch piece of French wire. Pass the wire through the jumpring attached to the first loop on the insert portion of the clasp and back through the crimp tube leaving one end of the wire approximately 1-inch long. Pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the jumpring so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end.
STEP 5
String onto the beading wire the following:

STEP 7
Repeat Step 5 in the opposite direction to create the second half of the strand in a mirror image of the first half of the strand.
STEP 8
Place one crimp tube, 1/2 inch of French wire and the 4mm jumpring on the first loop on the opposite side of the clasp after the last Swarovski crystal copper 4mm round bead. Pass the beading wire back through crimp, then pull the wire snugly so the crimp and the French wire are closer to the jumpring. Make sure there is no slack along the length of the first part of the necklace. Place a small amount of gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using flush-cutters, trim excess wire from the end.

Place a crimp cover over the crimp tube then gently close it.
