Tikka and Earring Set with Swarovski® Crystals, Gold-Plated Steel Components and Gold-Plated Brass

Necklace

STEP 1
Cut two 11-inch lengths of 3.5mm round and oval chain.

Tip: Begin and end the chain lengths with oval links and include at least 39 oval links all together.

Focal Drop

STEP 2
Mix Devcon® 5 Minute® 2-part epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions. Apply a thin layer around the 3mm center hole on the front side of one gold-plated steel 59x35mm single-sided wavy flat oval and a small amount to the back of one Indian pink 7.07-7.27mm flat back. Press the back of the flat back into the 3mm center hole then set aside to dry.
STEP 3
Using the EUROTOOL® hole punch pliers, punch one 1.8mm hole, front side, approximately 1/16 inch from the edge on one end (top) of one 59x35mm single-sided wavy flat oval focal. Repeat to punch a 1.25mm hole, front side, approximately 1/16 from the opposite end (bottom) of the flat oval focal.
STEP 4
Punch two holes along the edge on either side of the bottom hole of the focal approximately 3/4 inches apart.

Repeat to punch one hole on either side of the top hole of the focal.
STEP 5
String one gold-plated brass 2.5mm round, one ruby 6mm bicone and one gold-plated brass 2.5mm round then form a simple loop.

Repeat to create a total of 4 ruby 6mm bicone drops.
STEP 6
Pass one 6.5x5mm oval jumpring through the bottom hole of the focal from Step 3 and one ruby 16x11mm baroque pendant then close.
STEP 7
Attach one ruby 6mm bicone drop to one of the holes near the bottom hole. Repeat to attach a total of four ruby 6mm bicone drops to each of the holes near the bottom hole.
STEP 8
String one gold-plated brass 2.5mm round, one ruby 4mm bicone and one gold-plated brass 2.5mm round onto one 1-inch headpin then form a simple loop.

Repeat to create a total of 112 ruby 4mm bicone drops.
STEP 9
Pass the loop on one ruby 4mm bicone drop through the first bottom crescent hole on the wider side of one 32x8mm 7-row filigree cluster. Repeat to add a ruby 4mm bicone drop to the adjacent bottom holes creating a ruby cluster link.

Repeat to create a total of 16 ruby cluster links.

Tip: The bottom holes are the crescent moon shapes of the filigree cluster.
STEP 10
Pass one 4mm jumpring through the last oval link in one 11-inch length of chain and the first top round hole of one ruby cluster link then close.

Attach the fourth oval chain link in the 11-inch length of chain to the last, this will be the seventh, top round hole of the ruby cluster link using one 4mm jumpring.

Continue to attach a total of eight ruby cluster links to the length of chain skipping one oval link between each ruby cluster link until reaching the end of the chain creating ruby cluster links and chain.
STEP 11
Repeat Step 10 to attach a total of eight ruby cluster links to the second 11-inch length of chain.
STEP 12
Using one 6.5x5mm oval jumpring, attach the bottom opening of one 38x18mm filigree teardrop focal to the top hole of the focal.

Using one 4mm jumpring, connect the top hole of the previous filigree teardrop to the bottom opening of one 38x18mm filigree teardrop focal, creating a small chain. Repeat four more times adding to the filigree teardrop chain.

Tip: The chain will end with a 4mm jumpring.
STEP 13
Using one 4mm jumpring, attach the first oval link in one length of ruby cluster links and chain to one of the side holes at the top of the focal.

Repeat to connect the first oval link in the remaining length of ruby cluster links and chain to the opposite hole at the top of the focal.
STEP 14
Using the remaining 4mm jumpring from Step 12, connect the last oval links in the ruby cluster links and chain and the filigree teardrop chain securing the headdress.

Earrings

STEP 1

Pass one 6.5x5mm oval jumpring through the bottom hole of the focal from Step 3 and one ruby 16x11mm baroque pendant then close.
STEP 6
Attach one ruby 6mm bicone drop to one of the holes near the bottom hole. Repeat to attach a total of four ruby 6mm bicone drops to each of the holes near the bottom hole.
STEP 7
Pass one 6.5x5mm oval jumpring through the loop on one 10mm filigree dome with closed loop earstud and the top hole on the focal then close.
STEP 8
Repeat Steps 1 - 7 to create second earring.
