What inspires you as a designer-artist?
Patterns in nature and the inherent properties of the materials and processes I use when working with them.

What inspired this design?
Experimenting with the process of handling liquid polymer clay.

How did it come together?
The designs came through many attempts to control the liquid clay and get a clear expression of the making process.

When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
I was at a bead fair looking for beads to decorate my machine knitted fabrics and came across a booth with polymer clay beads.

Do you have an artistic background?
Yes, I went to art school.

The adverts on the back of Polymer CAFE magazine

What other hobbies do you have?
Making passementerie (tassels and braids)

Do you belong to any beading societies or beading groups?
Several polymer clay societies including the London Polymer Clay Group, www.lpcg.co.uk

What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
I'm full-time designing, making and teaching polymer clay.

Do you participate in any charity fundraisers?
I support various charities--mostly in the UK.

Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
It has to be fun--keep looking, experimenting and making.
