Statement Necklaces

A statement necklace sets the tone for this winter's party season. There's a style for everyone (naughty and nice), from intricately-designed chokers to ornate bib collars, dramatic cluster necklaces and long chains with oversized pendants.

Chokers are wrapping the neck in flamboyant flora and fauna and can be worn to daytime work parties or sophisticated evening holiday events. The naturally-inspired motifs include layered-effects of petals, leaves, feathers and butterflies. The idea of "less is more" no longer applies to the ornately-styled collar necklaces this season, as they dazzle with faceted gemstones, crystals, pearls and charms.

The drama of the season is created by charm-like pendants on cluster necklaces with motifs including hearts, keys, shells, bells and tassels. Charms and oversized pendants dangle from embellished gold chains or filigree metalwork for an authentic old world touch.

Timeless trimmings, gold and gold-colored metals are seen in layered chain necklaces in varying weights, assorted styles and links. Memorable statements are made with mixed materials such as chains woven with ribbons and pearl beads.

Sparkling Earrings

Style Snapshot: What's Hot for the 2011 Holiday Season Earrings are all sparkle and shine with cascading jewel-toned rhinestones and crystals. Flashy and long, these shoulder-length stunners are a fun way to celebrate the season in style. Tassels are popping up in accessories and offer a perfect embellishment for earrings, mixed with rhinestones and crystals for major impact. Cuff Bracelets, Cocktail Rings and More...

Attention is drawn to the wrists with elaborately designed metal and seed bead cuffs. Jewel-toned faceted gems and crystals are incorporated for an extra special effect. Other key items that complete the holiday look this year include lapel pins, brooches and cocktail rings. Discover more about the history and styles of cocktail rings in the Style Snapshot: Cocktail Rings article.

Tie one on this season with one of the most prevalent features of Baroque jewelry--the bow! Jewelry and accessories are topped off with bow accents and focal pieces. The classic cameo is made over to make a stunning appearance in holiday jewelry as seen on hair accessories, necklaces, earrings, rings and more.
