Generally a white stone, rainbow moonstone features occasional iridescent or multi-color flashes with transparency that ranges from opaque to semitranslucent. Rainbow moonstone is best seen in natural light for play of color. Beads are temporarily strung with metal spacers to prevent chipping and coordinating tassels at each end for a pleasing display.
