Rivet and eyelet setting is great for working with cold connections. This small, sturdy and easy-to-operate tool lets you flare rivets and eyelets without swinging hammers or squeezing pliers. Smooth, accurate screw-down action lets you position components with care and apply only the amount of force necessary, exactly where force is needed. Improved accuracy helps to minimize damage to designs, rivets and eyelets; this is especially beneficial when working with precious metals and delicate pieces. Setter can be adjusted for better alignment as needed with a small flat head screwdriver. Artists who have limited hand strength will find this simple tool a real help. Tool has two sides: one with a bowl base for flaring rivets, and the other with a dimpled base for flaring eyelets.
This tool works well with a range of cold-connection rivets and eyelets; it accommodates rivets and eyelets up to 7.5mm tall; Fire Mountain Gems and Beads offers designers a wide range of metalsmithing tools and supplies.
