What is a cabochon and does it have a hole drilled in it to be used for necklace or bracelet?
- Linda
A cabochon is a flat-backed, domed-surfaced component usually made of gemstone material or glass; it doesn't have any holes for stringing. You can set a cabochon in a setting which can then be incorporated into your finished designs. Another option is using an Aanraku® and Aanraku style glue-on bail that allow you to create a pendant that can be easily incorporated into your designs.
