How do you attach beads to "illusion" cord?
- Joan
Place a drop of G-S Hypo Cement® on the cord where you want to place the bead, string the bead and then slide the bead down to its position on the cord. Let the bead set for at least 20 minutes and then continue with the next bead.
As an alternative, crimp tubes can be used to hold beads into position, especially when designing with metal or metal-colored beads. Using sterling silver crimp tubes among sterling silver beads on "illusion"-style jewelry helps conceal the crimps, yet gives you the "floating" look you're aiming for.
