How do crimp covers work? How do they take up slack on jewelry without restringing?
- Judyann
Crimp covers are a C-shaped finding designed to disguise your crimp beads or knots used in your designs. Place the crimp cover over your crimp beads or knots and close with chain-nose pliers or nylon-jaw pliers (which prevent scratching the surface of the cover). When properly closed, they appear to be a round bead with the seam barely visible.
If you have slack in your design, you can add crimp covers over the area of stringing material that is visible to disguise the space.
