Are Omega chains stiffer than regular chains?

Omega chains are machined to be flexible while holding their round or oval shapes. They drape beautifully and will not bend back onto themselves as traditional linked chains do. They are ideal for highlighting a large ornate pendant as they maintain a slow arc instead of being pulled into a "V" shape.
