An anodized finish on aluminum, niobium or titanium may wear over time similar to gold-, silver-filled, plated findings and wire. The wear will be totally dependent upon "where" the anodized metal is used and worn.

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that creates a thin, uniform density and thickness of an oxide film on specific metals. The process gives metal a range of beautiful colors, as well as adds strength, especially in the case of aluminum chain.

Niobium is hypoallergenic which makes it an ideal product to use in any jewelry fabrication.
