Ask the Experts Beading Wire Q&A

Hello! Could you tell me if the Accu-Flex beading wires are water resistant? I bought another brand (foolish of me!) to make bracelets and they all got rusty after a few days when in contact with water. The ones that were not in the water, but in a place quite humid, eventually got rusty as well ... I don't want to go through that again! Thank you for your advice!

Accu-Flex® beading wire is available in a variety of rust resistant materials including sterling silver, stainless steel, plated stainless steel, brass and nickel/titanium. As an extra layer of protection it is bundled inside a water resistant nylon coating that helps protect the wire against kinking and abrasion. If your designs will be in contact with water, you may consider sealing the cut ends of the wire by giving them a quick dip in super glue.
