Should foil backed crystals be mounted in closed back settings or is an open back setting okay? If a closed back setting is advised, what type of glue is recommended?

The coating on foil back crystals is durable but it is possible to scratch it. We recommend setting them in closed back settings. We love Devcon 5 minute epoxy, GS Hypo cement, or Quick Grip for setting foil back stones. The Devcon cures in 5 minutes which is a great perk. The GS Hypo takes much longer to cure but it’s no mix and has a wonderful superfine applicator tip for precision glue placement. Just be sure not to use any “super” glue as the cyanoacrylate in these glues will eat away the foil coating.
